SDC has some decent coasters now, too.  It is such an easy, reasonable cost 3 day weekend event, it surprises me more northeast Oklahoman's don't go there more often.  Kid pacifier supreme.  Plus, their seasonal events - Fall Festival, Christmas lights, etc ) - during times when kids are in school, make it more interesting as a "kid free" destination.  We try to make a 3 day out of it every two or three (or four) years for one of the special event times.  And we seldom even bother with the Branson shows...but the restrooms at the fiddle players place is a destination all it's own....  (Shoji Tabuchi)

I have season passes this year. What's nice is that if you go even two days, the season pass is cheaper.

Went to SDC in the late seventies as a kid.  Went through the Marvel Cave.  Every bit as cool as any roller coaster, for sure.

However, riding across Royal Gorge was pretty cool also...
