Link will be invalid I'm sure once feed is cut.  This is a LIVE Youtube feed.

Doh. Also noticed that Discovery and Velocity are also carrying this live. Difference is only commercials.

I looked up and didn't see it. It was probably faked in a studio somewhere.

wonderful!

I was just telling my brother about how fast he appeared to reduce into a white dot after launching off that thing.  No air = little resistance in the fall.  I wonder if they ever verified if he broke the sound barrier...

I don't know but I've broken wind a whole bunch today.  ;)

What an amazing feat he accomplished at any rate.  Glad to hear he touched down safely.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

If I was in free fall that long, I would have updated my facebook status,

I believe he set a record for the most watched Youtube streaming video with over 3 Million people around the World watching live. Not bad for a Sunday morning.
It's going to be hard walking around with those huge nads he's got.
Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

He said afterwards he was on the verge of black out a few times, curious if he had some sort of barometric device to open the chute automatically in case he lost consciousness.

From what I read yes, there was an automatic chute deploy in case he checked out during the fall.

At one point there were more than eight million viewers, which probably accounted for the feed only coming in two-second spurts on my end.
Watching on CNN was just as frustrating with all their graphics covering up the action.

There was a safety chute set to automatically deploy at 3.5G in case he tumbled out of control.
Good show nevertheless.

Discover/Velocity was carrying it with commercials, void of graphics and mindless banter.  I thought it was pretty cool to have CapCom be the previous record holder (Col Joe Kittenger).
