I guess I just have to rant, I am all about people starting a business and going at it, but when I look at it and think, there are customers for that??? Than see them closed a few months later and realize, nope guess not..it makes me say WTH were these people thinking. There is a Mexican Restaurant near 131st and Olive(well right on the corner) El Mohito, its a nice place, but its always dead and when they are busy they can't keep up with the pace(we went in a few weeks ago and it was busy, they obviously were not used to it being busy and the food took forever, they ran out of some etc and it was just okay..nothing really to write home about) super nice owner and hard working staff but from what I can tell its just a money pit with huge overhead and will be gone shortly unfortunately...now I am browsing Craigslist and see this, Jungle World, http://tulsa.craigslist.org/bfs/3396860159.html..I think, so this guy bought some crappy old retro games, put in a putt-putt golf thing, put up a name "jungle world" and trademarked it (maybe?) and now wants to sell it for 200k a month later because he is short of cash and can't afford to advertise? I just don't get it, I guess being a business owner for around 14 years and never really doing retail, being fairly successful at what I do,  I don't understand... to me its just common sense or I just don't have the BA&*S to take that sort of gamble one or the other...anyone else?

Z-man you're right. I don't make it down that far South in B.A. much and I was wondering the same thing about that restaurant. Back in the day it was a pretty good steak house and a little bit pricey. IMO
But it was successful for quite a few years. There are just to many Mexican restaurants in B.A. that make quality food at a reasonable price and it's about location, location, location.
I'm not sure how long thay have been open. But I don't think that it will be long for this market.
Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

Where's all the planned development near the Creek?  Is that on 145th or 129th?

The Tulsa area has a whole lot of "meh" when it comes to Mexican food.  Proof that most people just want to get filled up and don't care about food quality.

"Crappy old games"?! That guy's got Pac-Man and Space Invaders along with a Gilligan's Island pinball machine in there! Have you no shame?

Haha...okay I was generalizing, those games actually do rock ;)

Sometimes businesses are meant to fold. We had an upscale rag shop (pricey women's clothing) that opened in Owasso.  The owner brought clothes that didn't sell in her south Tulsa location.  She told one of the staff that it was all a means to reduce her taxes when the store folded.  Maybe someone can explain to me the benefits of intentionally setting up a store to fail, 'cause I surely do not understand it.

May you live in interesting times.

I worked there in high school, when it was Hickory Hills Steakhouse (if anyone remembers that place). It was a great place. We made everything from scratch. It's where I learned to cook. Unfortunately, they were never busy enough and had to close down.

And...its closed..Signs are gone(El Mojito at 131st and Olive)..building empty..again..I think a convenience store would fair well..its a big corner..lots of traffic and nothing around for miles(as far as stores go)...

I worked there for a summer...   It was a real hit and miss crowd, never any lunch business.  At least they had liquor unlike the even shorter lived "Peach house" down the street.
