Update!

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-11-14/ftc-said-to-back-hertz-dollar-thrifty-deal-with-conditions.html

Looks like this will be going thru, I have a friend at Dollar/Thrifty, he says that no one really knows what will happen, emails have been going around talking about severence, management has few words...There are some departments that are saying that Hertz has nothing like them in their organization so they will most likely be left alone, others are not so positive..I have a feeling its going to be just like any other merger, something will be left, but no one knows right now. I guess the general feeling is that Tulsa won't be 100% abandoned and Hertz could leave the company as is, after all Dollar/Thrifty is about the only one turning a profit, why mess with success? Thoughts?

Thoughts?

I'm still wishing I had loaded up on 10,000 shares of DTAG stock when it was less than $1.00 a share.

There's my thought.

Better than my friend back in 2001 when he started working for Williams Comm and bought into their stock program big, only to see that stock tank.  He lost $40k in nearly the blink of an eye when they went mammaries up...

I've been watching this bought some shares last week dropped to 76ish when it stalled thought that is strange and held...sold today 87..., bought a thousand shares some at 1.15ish a few years ago, sold at 27 when it seemed to be stalling in momentum and rumors were abound, should have held but can't complain too much for free money. But its all 401k stock so I won't see it for quite awhile!

My broker at the time said "this was a once in a lifetime opportunity" when I sold..he said he rarely see's something like this stock...it was a flip of the coin for most..I have a few friends who bought 10000 shares held until today....they are not complaining at all! Let's just say this has made alot of people alot of money over the last few years....
