Third Penny Tax Extension Hearings Scheduled

Tulsa city leaders announce a series of neighborhood meetings to get input about improvements that would be funded by a third penny tax extension. The announcement was held in one of the city's newest fire stations, one paid for by the third penny. Inside is a new ladder truck, also paid for with third penny money. Steve Gage is Deputy Chief of Field Operations, and he says public safety would have trouble meeting the needs of its' mission without the third penny funding.

Public hearings are scheduled in all nine council districts throughout March and April. The plan is for you to vote on a proposal in November.
