I had hopes that Kim Jong Un would be more moderate than his father.

Looks like the nut didn't fall far from the tree.

I was sad when I heard this in the morning. It makes me afraid of crazy people with weapons of any kind, especially nuclear weapons.

I would probably be more freaked out if I lived on the west coast, especially a city like Seattle that is the closest to Korea.

Apparently more bluster than actual threat.

QuoteAlthough the North has successfully tested both nuclear bombs and long-range rockets, it is not thought to have successfully married the two into an intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM.

A pretty interesting country, I can imagine that if one day they would actually open up this place it would be a BOOM for the economy as millions would want to see this place and what it would be like to live in a time capsule... http://goo.gl/maps/5ib4a

I have a friend who runs a pharmaceutical company in India.  He went there years ago with other corporate "dignitaries" to develop some sanctioned humanitarian programs through the Indian government.  He said they arrived in a bustling city with tall buildings new roads and cars everywhere honking and driving around.  They had a series of very structured tours over three days.  After the first couple of stops, he realized that the same cars with the same drivers were driving around again and again.  The next day, they toured some medical plant or hospital and again the same cars were on the road with them, then were driving by again and again outside of the complex.

When they left on their flight to China he noticed blocks of cars parked in neat formations all around town, and not a single car on the roads.  He later learned from one of his Korean colleagues that all of the buildings in the "downtown" were simply shells with lights, and there is an entire military branch devoted to putting on a show for foreigners designed to create the impression of a vibrent city.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.
