I am new to the forum but not the city.

With the size of the city I expected a lively forum but it seems dead to me ... A few posts but thats about it. My question is why?

RecycleMichael

We go through streaks. We just need more posters.

Welcome. I have enjoyed talking with you about religion on the other threads. Keep posting.

Dead you say!

Actually, it is a bit dead lately.  There are some legit reasons for that:

1) outside of the political season
2) dead zone for sports
3) no great scandals as of late
4) developments are not announced this time of year
5) I've been busy.  :)

[edit] 11 active threads a day isn't exactly "dead" anyway. . . [/edit]

I crush grooves.

We have wound down in recent months, after the big push of election season.  Plus, there are some highly opinionated posters who seem to monopolize some of the threads.... quite possibly 'scaring' other would be posters away....

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

Statistically, less than 5% of people who visit the forum post anything.

Damn Chinese hackers.  Why won't they participate?

I bet your BAN list is quite healthy.

We must be the extreme, opinionated ones we always criticize or the smartest of the bunch.

Extremely smart.

Well, some of us anyway.

Likely one of the few consensus views around here.
