Thick red smoke hangs around the fans in their regular section, while hand-painted banners called 'tifo' (originally the Italian word for the phenomenon of supporting a sport team) hang from the level above.

I thought surely there would be a point in the match where the Ultras would get tired and sit down.
I was wrong.

If you haven't been out to see the Athletics play, then you really should come out this Friday and see the lads take on Joplin.  It's cheap entertainment, and it's really a blast.  7:30pm.  Do it.

Local media seem to have no problems showing highlights of college baseball games that don't involve any Oklahoma teams (TCU & Texas Tech?) but can't be bothered to show a single highlight of the Tulsa Athletics playing at the fairgrounds last Friday night... go figure... A's win, 4-0!

I've probably made half the games thus far... It can be ccrazy fun sitting with the Ultras going fin crazy (LA LA LA LA ...).  A nice family night out in the stands. Or a chance to catch up with friends over a couple beers.

Oklahoma City's team lost the opener in a penalty kick tie-breaker... being fellow audubon enthusiasts, I believe our fans and the OKC players had a "bird exchange" while they were in their vans for their sad trip home....
