80 "Lofts Apartments" in that building?  I think calling them lofts could be a stretch. A new term: Loft "Stubbies:" 4-walls, sink, toilet, shower, one window.  Am I wrong?

I ran from OK about 50-yrs. ago & in 2010 I saw downtown's potential.

Tulsa's in a Phoenix rise, reason enough to stick around.

Besides... you can't fully be an Okie except in Oklahoma.

Brickhugger does nice work, so yeah, probably wrong.

It seems like they are doing demo on the inside now.

DowntownDan

I think the modern term for the concept your describing is "studio" apartments.

I meant, Am I wrong about the "Loft" statement... yea; I think they will be nice studio apartments.  Counting the windows show that there will be plenty that have at least two large windows.

And a pool?

The upside to not having many downtown properties from the good old days is that the eventual infill will find new creative usage and design.  I look forward to watching it all until the big meteor hits us in 19-years.

I'd live here depending on the price range.

I earned my life guard certificate in that pool when I was a kid.

Restoring the neon YMCA sign might be kinda cool.

I was a lifeguard for three years during high school summers.  Shawnee had a great municipal pool.  Thankfully it is still in use.

Where do the youth go these days to learn to swim?  I feel like a fuddy duddy, old folk.

You could probably buy it for yourself. They aren't using it on the building.

Townsend

Inside the YMCA from a TW article posted by the TFA.

SXSW

The article says there will be 50 425 SF apartments that will rent for $450/month plus utilities.  That is a pretty good deal for downtown, but 425 SF is tiny.
