A lot of advertisers but likely 6 figures in debt. That is a lot considering they paid writers something like $50 a story. If you can find someone willing to buy debt for more than $1, give me their phone #.

My ex worked for Langdon for 10+ years.  Langdon's wife is an attorney and a ruthless sharp one at that.  There's no way they would have assumed any debt, they don't roll that way.

I suspect enough cash changed hands to get the judgement off the Skrzypczak's back and keep them from filing BK.

The judgement is against the company and not KS, correct?

For the life of me I just can't seem to figure out how to pronounce Skrzypczak. Even spell check is like.... "What the Hell?"
Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

No idea, I can't locate the suit on OSCN, but I would assume it's against Renegade Publishing and/or UTW.  It's not entirely unheard of in a situation like that if they were getting in arrears that they may have had to sign a personal guarantee at some point in order to keep printing.  Pure speculation on my part.  As far as saying getting the debt off their back and keeping them from filing BK, I meant in general, either for UTW or them personally.  Sorry if the interchangeability of my writing confounds you.  ;D

Oh, Dolfan, it's pronounced Scrip-Jack.

Yes, good riddance. Over inflated sense of importance, although I always liked the Ask a Mexican bit.

Downfall began when they bashed Ricardo's. Urban Tulsa jumped the shark on that one and the curse began.
