21%?!   Did he pay with his Visa card?

Yep. And he was so proud that he did it on his own. He had already signed the paperwork before his Mother and I found out. He truly understands percentage rates now.

Come on now, leave the condescension to Aquaman.

So then is it a device added by the finance company rather than a function of Ford's Sync (or whatever Ford's equivalent of On-Star is)?

If it works like OnStar, removing it kills your car.

There is an aftermarket workaround, though:

so there might also be something similar for unfortunate Ford customers.

It turns out she knew about the kill device but didn't suspect it since she was up to date on payments.

But then you only bother the horse, not the rider.  Shame on you.  :D

If he's made the payments for 6 months then it's credit union time.  Refi that thing and save the $15,000 in finance charges.

The exact plan we have in mind.

Red is correct, you are just rubbing the horse's arse when you are the burr under the saddle.

Why wait 6 months?   My wife got a big rebate for using ford credit at 6.75%.   After the 90 day mandatory period (for the rebate) she flipped it right over to the credit union.

Its a delegation thing. The horse gets used in order to bother the rider.

Seriously, you guys need even more counter balance than I provide. Without me Carleton, Townsend and Hoss, this is just another right wing blog in disguise. ;)

That would be true if you saddled the horse on his donkey. Silly city boy......
