I'm hearing that there will be a new Caribbean restaurant downtown somewhere around Mexicali. Downtown needs a good upscale Caribbean restaurant. I think this'll be a very big deal for downtown dining.

Is that what is going in directly next door to the north?

yes, French Carribean fusion. This new restaurant is the primary reason that the Cross-fit gym on Boulder was asked to leave.

The name of the restaurant is Sisserou's, anybody have any background on the proprietors?  Is this their first restaurant?

If the execution and authenticity of the food is anything like Laffa has been for Medi-Eastern, it should be a slam dunk success.

Still have not been to Laffa's and I love Medi-East food.  Looks like I may try that before a hockey game soon.

Not that I'm aware of, just saying if they do what Phil and Miranda have done with Laffa, it will be a success.

In terms of being better than other Caribbean restaurants in Tulsa, it wouldn't take much to out-shine Hibiscus.  I'm baffled as to how that place is still  open.  Maybe other people don't mind dining on ganga time.
