We LOVE books at DECOPOLIS, so as part of the new series of Second Saturday events in the Deco District, we are proud to announce our first ever Book Festival this coming Sept 13.

Since its our first event, we are making this one more of a meet and greet party to showcase the talent of local Authors, Illustrators, and Publishers.  The party will be between 6-8pm at DECOPOLIS.  We will have tables set up featuring their works, and of course snacks and drinks.  Each Author, Illustrator and Publisher "attendee" will have a name tag describing what they do and will be available to sign their books or illustrations. Also, come on down and enjoy Chalkfest, which will be going on the same day with live music on the main stage right in front of DECOPOLIS.  One of the sponsors of this first Book Festival is Falcor Publishing which many of you on here may know was started by Tulsa Now's very own Carlos.

We are already lining up a nice list of local Authors, Illustrators, and Publisher, and if you happen to know of any who might be interested in coming to this event, please let them know about us!  We think this event can evolve to be something much bigger and better, and positive, for Tulsa.

Check out or Facebook Events Page as we continue to add more Authors, Illustrators and Publishers.

So Book it to Boston Avenue to party with the literati at the first annual DECOPOLIS Book Festival, during Chalkfest, Second Saturday in September!
