Drove around this area for the first time since about Thanksgiving last evening and is has really transformed.  Pizza place now open and by they way too packed to seat a single at the bar for quite some time, although I'm not bitter.  The renovation on 4th & Lansing looks great.  The new apartments along third between Greenwood and Hartford are going up and that street will look completely different when they're done.  The Gu Ru Stu guys have remade their stretch of building fronts and they look great.  Add in the arts space and the Equality Center and that little area of downtown is hopping.  What a transformation since 818/Tiny Lounge about the only thing in the area.

This area will be hugely transformed in the next two years once Hartford Commons and Urban 8 and East Village condos are complete. At 4th and Frankfurt the little brick building has been renovated and is now called "the Dock". At 4th and Lansing there is the new Medical Equipment building.

I would love to see something happen in the Nordam area and a re-use for the Fire Station and old KOTV building. A full service Movie theatre and an urban Target would be nice (although target is scaling back instead of expanding). Even more living space would be awesome.

I saw nice new signage at "The Dock" but what is it?

Is there a boat ramp nearby?  :P

3/4 of the building is loading dock...I think they were pointing out the obvious. As far as current use...it looks like office space to me.

Area has huge potential. An entire block over there is owned by Oklahoman's for Equality. There are shops, some retail, and a couple very nice condos/houses.

I think it booms!

Has anyone noticed the huge change to this building at 1209 E 3rd St?

I looked inside and there are a bunch of really big chandelliers recently installed.

Interesting. Par Buster. I did their logo several (10+!) years ago.

So this place is called Basement Booze and it is a local artisan distillery according to the door.

They have an FB page too.
