Here's the oath

Interesting.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Three bills that would greatly loosen restrictions on who can carry guns and where in Oklahoma made their way through the House Public Safety Committee on Wednesday afternoon, with voting largely along party lines.

House Bills 2918, 2951 and 3192, all by Rep. Jeff Coody, R-Grandfield, strip away handgun licensing and training requirements and make it easier for school districts to arm personnel.

HB 3192, filed after the deadly school shootings in Florida two weeks ago, would allow districts to develop their own policies for arming school personnel. The only requirement would be a handgun permit.

HB 2951 would permit carrying of firearms anywhere they are now legally permitted without a license or training

They are teachers; skip the rules.  What could go wrong?

So what do you believe is accurate?  The union has one version of reality, the sheriff another.

The Broward Sheriff's Office captain who initially took charge of the chaotic scene at a Parkland high school where 17 people were killed told deputies to form a perimeter around the deadly scene — which they did instead of going in to confront the shooter, according to a partial BSO dispatch log obtained by the Miami Herald.

Apparently the sheriff was re-elected with the help of false-flag robocalls where he pretended to be his opposition.

TPD's Oath of Office includes references to protecting the rights and lives of all citizens and obeying the law. The rules and regulations establish a standard of conduct for officers professionally and privately, which includes not committing crimes.

The oath in part states that "I will ... obey the Constitution and laws of the United States, the State of Oklahoma and the Charter Ordinances of the City of Tulsa." It also states that "I will protect the rights, lives, and property of all citizens..."

And I've really been thinking that all these cop shootings are mostly due to all these "training" companies that teach cops how to deal with active shooters and other scenarios and scare the crap out of the cops thinking that they are constantly in more danger than they really are. Combine that with the innate and some active racism and you have our overall problem with cops killing people and why it skews to killing minorities and the mentally ill.

So a customer or another employee with Concealled Carry walks in and discovers this "armed robbery" in progress.  How would it likely end?

That's why a basic training session is so important. Under Oklahoma's law, you can use lethal force only to defend yourself, a family member, or your business. Nothing permits you to intervene in a hold up or a domestic dispute.

So basically Oklahoma is doing away with the "trained not to get involved" part and some Carrying individual stumbles across the guy pointing the gun at people at the register.  He reacts.

"others" is specifically mentioned in the law.
