What makes this restaurant unique                   They have a nice section of food that comes out quick plus you can have a glass of wine or beer....

That was exactly our impression of it.  MC and I are not big on chains yet their food was quite surprisingly good.  If you didn't have the lamb there, try it next time, it's amazing.

Thanks Breadburner and Conan71.

This is an excellent thread.  It provides straight-forward, helpful information about something in Tulsa.

I had no intention of going to Taziki's, but now I've changed my mind and will try it.

I'm surprised to see this. I'm a huge Lebanese/Greek food aficionado but found the meat here pretty low in flavor. I got the lamb gyro platter and while it looked nice, I thought it left a lot to be desired. I'll stick with the old hat Lebanese places around town.

The best critical food-rating site, Zomato, gives this place a 3/5 overall which I agree with:

Check out the top rated places in Tulsa on Zomato and ratings overall. They are pretty spot on in general.
Yelp is basically, "how good of a chain is this place" (compare Fat Guys downtown vs south Tulsa on Yelp & Zomato).

The Zomato rating is for Taziki's on 71st.  I've never been to that one.  My wife and I have been to the Cherry Street Taziki's, which is the one reviewed by Breadburner.  We went after seeing that review as well as reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp.  I'd give the Cherry Street place a solid 5 based upon our two visits.  My only complaint is that they don't have tabouli, which I love.  They do a good Greek Salad and Spicy Pimiento Cheese with a Tomato/Cucumber salad.  The interior is very comfortable and nicely designed.  Being right next door to Roosevelts with plenty of parking in back is another super plus.

A Med restaurant that doesn't serve tabouli?  It's not a Med restaurant then.  IMO.

Now serving Brunch on Saturday and Sunday....This place is still a 5 in my book....

The one on 71st has just as high a rating as the 15th on Yelp (4.5) so I figured the places were close enough that the zomato ratings would end up the same also.

La Roma makes amazing gyros and other Lebanese sandwiches. Their family members own Dena's also. The food at those places makes Tazikis seem bland.

My two favorites in Tulsa when it comes to Middle Eastern or Greek are Shawkat's and Jim's Never on Sunday in Tulsa.  Gyros aren't exactly a staple in New Mexico, though I did manage to find an Egyptian place in Santa Fe the other day which served pretty good gyros and hummus.

I don't think that is the case any longer. Halim is the brother of the lady at LaRoma. I think that was the relationship. I don't think the Dena's people are related... I could be wrong, but that how I remember it.

Did you ever get out to Shiskabob's on 31st and Garnett?  I LOVED that place.  Not sure if it's still around.  Specifically for straight Med food (no coneys in there).  But Jim's is right behind.  Never been to Shawkat's yet.

The guy that owned Shishkabob's sold it 6-7 years ago and opened Pita Place at 111th and memorial....   Both are pretty good.
