If you get to Tulsa area sometime, here is a place that we just went to in Broken Arrow.  I love Cattleman's but this place puts it to shame!   With prices to match!!  Nothing the group tried was less than perfection - something almost unheard of from a restaurant.  Our (2) little corner of this added up to something north of $175.  Probably won't do that very often!  On a scale with the now defunct Abacus in Dallas area.   And no, we did not try the $200 a bottle wine....

Rodeo Cinema planning big for future with first full executive team

The hope going forward will be to use the Rodeo space as a place to bridge that divide and to offer OKC a venue for arts, entertainment, and culture of all kinds . . .

. . . In addition to regular screenings of cult classics, forgotten gems, and first-run indies, they say that many of the theater's biggest successes have been their frequent event nights, often featuring actors and filmmakers coming through to present screenings of their films and host Q&A's and discussions for fans. The team intends to continue those kinds of events while also expanding widely into the kind of community-and-culture-driven content that will further their standing as a non-profit arts institution for the city.

International Canoe Federation (ICF) World Super Cup,
moved from Russia to Oklahoma City

International Canoe Federation asked Oklahoma City if its RIVERSPORT adventure rapids would be willing to host two international events
that could no longer be held in Moscow, Russia--OKC officials said YES!

2022 (Canoe Sprint) Super Cup and the 2022 ICF Stand Up Paddling World Cup will be relocated to Oklahoma City to be staged in August 2022.  
More on the scheduling will be determined by April 2022.

Paramount Plus Series Starring Sylvester Stallone Will Film In Tulsa & Oklahoma City

Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) is producing a scripted drama for the Paramount network called The Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone.

The story is about an older gangster who served time to protect mafia bosses then relocates to Tulsa after prison and starts his own mob crew. Filming has been taking place in OKC and Tulsa. Stallone has been sighted at Penn Square Mall and other places around the state.

Just saw that they will be filming at this empty saloon at 4120 Newcastle Road. Permit is for a new sign to be placed on the building throughout filming.--OKCTalk.com--04-22-2022.

Big 12 Softball Tournament Championship 2022




May 12 - 14 USA Hall of Fame Stadium, 2801 NE 50th Street, Oklahoma City

The Championship will debut a new single-elimination format this year, featuring all seven Big 12 softball teams. The first round begins Thursday, May 12 followed by semifinals on Friday, May 13 and the Championship game on Saturday, May 14 at 2 p.m. CT on ESPN2. The top seed will get a first-round bye and begin play in the semifinals.
