Here's another mystery:

Just after sunset a couple days ago, I observed what appeared to be a craft moving from north to south, somewhat east of my location in midtown. It made no sound, had no strobes or flashing lights, but had a bright -- almost incandescent warm glow. It appeared to move too fast for it to be a helicopter or aircraft and didnt seem to change direction or altitude. Its transit was also way too fast for the ISS, which I have observed in the past as having a much bluer appearance than this.
My first inkling was a satellite in *very* low Earth orbit (LEO), which would have been brightly illuminated against the night sky by the sun just below the horizon. I ruled out a bolide or shooting star because the light was rock steady as it went over the horizon and did not fragment or leave behind a boom.
I meant to look at FlightRadar but didnt follow up and forgot about it until now, so thats my mistake.
Any takers?

I used to do a lot of tracking ISS and Space Shuttle flights, one time got to see both at the same time IIRC they had the shuttle was behind it starting it's re-entry program.

As for "dark flights" even with Flight Radar or Flight Aware, in this part of the country you get a few that say "Blocked" when you look them up or their just not their especially F-35 flights out of Luke AFB. The other thing out here is Phoenix is ~350 nautical miles from White Sands, Area 51, and Edwards, and on occasion we actually get missile flights overhead from White Sands, and you can see Space X and other rockets heading west after launching from Vandenberg.

There's also the Goldwater Range, Yuma Proving Grounds and Davis Monthan in Tucson. Nothing like driving on I-8 or I-10 between here and the California border and getting buzzed by F-16's at 300' above the ground.

A few years ago, in an area southwest of Phoenix Airbus was flying there Zephyr high altitude drones at 55k to 65k feet for days at a time, I think one of the longest was about three weeks that it was airborne.

I don't know of anyway to see what a "dark flight" is online since they can be set up to register with local ATC but don't share the info outside of that. The F-35's out of Luke never show up on the two I mentioned earlier.
