Historic Tulsa @ the Library: Deco Decadence in Tulsa
Wednesday Nov. 16 2005 from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm
This event will be held at Central Library Aaronson Auditorium.
Event Description: After the oil boom of the 1920s, Tulsans wanted modern and expressive architecture to reflect the popular style of the time â€" art deco. Join Lee Anne Zeigler, executive director of the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture, and learn about Tulsa’s wonderful journey in establishing itself as a leader of this historic architectural movement. Following the discussion, the 1996 “Tulsa Art Decoâ€? film produced by Jack Frank (Vintage Films) will be shown.
