Let's take your numbers for a quick sanity (hannity?) check!  First, gotta wonder how much of those salary monies go to Hannity?

And when you look at the money spent - 8.5 million out of the 9.85 million taken in (the difference being "retained" for future work), you have 3.6 million in administrative "expenses".

That comes out to over 42% overhead.  That is what constitutes a "worthwhile" charity to you??  I don't think even Oral Roberts or Jerry Falwell were that blatant at their worst.

Wow!  The Salvation Army - a REAL charity - has the lowest administrative expense ratio of any charity at about 86%.  So we can only guess about the real motivation of Hannity, and if maybe there is a motivation other than charity.  Perhaps a political agenda??  Remember, ALWAYS follow the money!

But it does make a nice little supplemental paycheck for Hannity and his ilk, doesn't it?  Can you spell Gulfstream jet - his personal form of transportation.

And that's if you believe what he is saying, and there isn't some creative reporting going on.  Given his tradition of lies in other aspects of his operation, I submit it is very possible if not likely.

Again, it is Hannity himself who lies over and over and over - 100% to benefits.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

Uh. . .did you even read. . .meh. . .never mind. ::)

2008
8.71 million in revenue
1.4 million in salary
6.7 million in expenses

Expenses:
2.3 million  Public Policy and Education (making fliers, etc)
1.27 million Support the troops parties (550k in grants in that 1.27 million)
1.23 million for scholarships (802,250 went towards actual scholarships)

So right off the top 41% goes to salary and "public education".

And again, this is from donations and the $4 service fee. The actual concert revenue is completely separate.

I went when they and the boys came to the Mabee Center.

I'm not a fan but I was amused when Hannity was shocked and had to tell the audience they shouldn't have applauded his comment on minorities.  He was making a point and the crowd went wild.  He didn't know his audience.

That's when I realized I had to keep my mouth shut or the folks around me might've found a tall tree from which to hang me until I was dead, dead, dead.

40% + is pretty crappy for a "charity".  Hey, I need to start a charity!!  40% of 8 million - I could live on that!!!!!!

Conviction overturned.

QuoteDeLay, 66, was convicted in 2010 for his alleged role in a scheme to influence Texas elections.

He was found guilty of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering after he was accused of helping funnel corporate money to Texas candidates in 2002.

In documents released early Thursday, however, an appeals court said the evidence in the case was "legally insufficient to sustain DeLay's convictions."

"I'm very happy about it," DeLay said in Washington Thursday. "I'm so glad they wrote the ruling about it because the ruling says I never should have been charged, much less indicted."

The court said all judgments against DeLay were reversed, and the former congressman was formally acquitted.
