I did some searching on the web for photos of Tulsa to show people I run into online what Tulsa has to offer.  I found some wonderful pics people have taken of different things around town, but not a whole lot.  So I have decided to take my little old digital camera and start taking some pics of the art and architecture of Tulsa.  I am just starting to learn how to take a decent photo and dont have a tripod so please excuse the fuzzy amateur nature of my first pics lol.  Hopefully I can afford a better camera with a tripod later this year, but I hope people will enjoy my "practice photos" for now.
What I would eventually like to do is create a book that has photos of the beautiful buildings, churches, mansions, art and architecture that Tulsa has.  I hope to be able to really show off the great assets we have in this town by using some creative artistry with the photos. I would like the book to be as definitive as possible, capturing what I see as the essence of the beauty of each church, building, and place I photograph.  I have a feeling this project is going to take me quite a few years but the result will be wonderful if I can pull it off.

Here is the start of the first photoblog of some pics I have taken this month.  Hope you enjoy and I will let you know when I get the chance to add more. http://www.flickr.com/photos/71912608@N00/

Excellent, excellent!  If anyone else has some photoblogs or websites of Tulsa photos, please add them.  And if anyone you run across wants to know what Tulsa has, and is like, just send them to this thread.[:)]

Great pics, Artist!  If you're doing that with a little Casio, I can only imagine the pics you'll post once you upgrade equipment. Keep it up, you've got a really good eye....guess that's why you're The Artist! ;-)

Just added a couple pics of one of the ceilings at the Garden Center.  I know I have been in there a dozen times but somehow never really noticed that stairwell ceiling?  Perhaps keeping and eye out now for photo ops is making me be aware of things I hadnt really noticed before.  Its a stunning ceiling, and one of many in that building.  Cant wait to go back sometime again and take some more and better pics.  There was a market goin on and too many people walking around to do the laying on the floor thing lol.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/71912608@N00/

You should have gone to the market and stopped by my booth. We were passing out environmental propaganda and judging the best compost contest.

It was a good market, but the wind was difficult.

I love the Tulsa Garden Center. It is a beautiful building and grounds. I write a column for their newsletter each month and am writing this next one on the building and the art.
