Sorry, haven't checked in. That sounds like an idea. Better yet, since they know you, you can walk in with my 30D with the longest lens I've got, the external flash on it's extended bracket and mounted on a tripod. While they are arresting you, I can take lots of pictures with a digicam.

mspivey, did you get to take the photographs on your fall foliage tour in Arkansas? I'd love to see the photos. BTW, the scheme you and Artist came up with to get photos of the Federal Building is BRILLIANT!

Good stuff TheArtist! So when are you gonna go and post around the rest of those? [:D]

I had a great time and saw some really beautiful scenery. I spent four days with my sister, the most I've spent with her in 40 years.

But photographically it was a bust. We were a week or two late to get the best color and the tall waterfalls I had lined up were dry. I did get some small ones and some old barns and covered bridges. We spent the night at Calico Rock, which is famous for taking sunrise pictures of the bluffs on the Buffalo River. Got up at 5:30am only to find it was pouring down rain.

But you know what fishermen say - a day fishing where you don't catch any fish is better than a day at work. And I did quite a bit of scouting that will be helpful in the spring when the waterfalls are waterfalls.

Great pics DScott. Always neat to see how other people capture the same buildings or place. Incredible how much variety can be had from the same thing just seen differently.

Once more, thank you!  I usually don't ever receive feedback on my pictures... Usually it's just family that even looks at them.  But I think that's changing, because 3 of my photos were published in the online Schmap guide to Tulsa a couple months ago.  At least it's a start...

Again, thank you all for your comments!

Here's a couple of shots from the Philbrook I took back over Labor Day weekend.

Who could resist snapping a shot of this Wintery Palace in downtown Tulsa.
