Now wait just a second.  I don't remember ever seeing those bronzes near the Boston Avenue Church.  Are they new or am I just blind?

Haha, I think they've been there for a while.  They're actually a block north of it, just south of the TCC parking lot :-)  Maybe you shouldn't get your eyes checked just yet...

Porky

Here's some pictures I took of some of the paintings out at the Gilcrease Museum. My intentions are having some of them developed for prints to hang on the wall.

Couple of photos of the Tulsa Fire Alarm building by Central Park.

Some downtown shots.  First few are mine, last couple are some I found on the web, tweaked one up a bit to make it better.

These two are not mine.

Course remember when Tulsa was once called "The most beautiful city in America" and "The Paris of the Midwest"?  I bet it must have been something to see.  Found these in the Beryl Ford collection.

Thought this one turned out nice.  Waited around on that bridge for quite a while to catch the sun peeking out behind some clouds to get that glow and reflections.

Not a photo I took, but wish I had lol, one of the newer buildings on Yale in South Tulsa.

I've taken photos of the same building, but I didn't have my tripod with me.  It's a really neat structure and has some cool lighting.

Yesterday, I went on a walking tour of downtown and of the old oil mansions along 21st Street and ended up taking 350 pictures.  I'm working on getting them up... and I'll be taking tons of photos tonight at Tulsa Salutes Freedom.

But I have a dilemma:  I can't decide if I should take the photos from the river, or if I should climb to the top of Skelly Stadium at TU (because that would be a GREAT view of downtown and the fireworks!)...  Suggestions?

I would stay closer, especially if you dont have a tripod that way if you have to zoom in your not going to get a lot of blur. Plus I dont know what kind of exposure timing it will take to get fireworks.  Perhaps if you can position yourself so you are across the river facing downtown and get the fireworks over downtown, that would be kewl.

Here is another downtown church.  First Christian. "Nightime shot" I like how the clouds appear to glow from the city lights. Will still have to sit down and go through the process of getting rid of that utility wire running across. ugh

Here is the raw image before I photoshopped it. Sometimes people say, "Wow you take some great pics!" Well actually... lol, I just photoshop the dickens out of them sometimes lol.  I am definitely not a purist when it comes to photography. I treat the image as if its a painting, a work in progress that I can digitally "paint". I take what I have and start manipulating the image.  Its really amazing the different directions each photograph seems to take. I cant always predict the direction either, they just go in the direction that works best for each individual photo.
