Riverlanes, a 40-lane center in Tulsa, Okla., has been selected to host the 2007 and 2008 United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships.

Riverlanes hosted the event in 2003 and 2004, before it moved to The Cherry Bowl in Rockford, Ill., for 2005 and 2006.

"We are thrilled to be bringing the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships to Tulsa and Riverlanes," Director of USBC High School & Collegiate Jeanne Klescewski said. "Riverlanes and the city of Tulsa opened their arms to the best collegiate bowlers for two consecutive years. Needless to say, we are excited to be returning to such a fabulous location."

Additionally, the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships will be held at the site of the USBC Women's Championships in 2010 in El Paso, Texas, and the following year in Syracuse, N.Y. The complete tournament will be held in a specially-constructed arena setting, providing additional seating capacity and more opportunities for television exposure.

Riverlanes, which also hosted the 2005 Women's International Bowling Congress Championship Tournament (now known as the USBC Women's Championships) and the 2005 WIBC Queens, recently was downscaled from 80 lanes to make room for entertainment and multi-purpose rooms. Components from the eliminated lanes were transferred to various centers in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

"We are very proud to be hosting the nation's best collegiate bowling teams once again," Riverlanes General Manager Steve Inasy said. "With recent renovations, the new-look Riverlanes will be very accommodating on all ends. We hope to put on a great show for players, coaches and fans to make the city of Tulsa proud."

The USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships is the pinnacle event of the college bowling season. The tournament brings together the top 16 men's and top 16 women's teams in the country to compete for national titles on national television.
