I got a ticket the other day in a part of town that i'm not familiar with for not fully ceaseing forward motion at a stopsign.  I really thought i fully stopped.  I had a map in my lap and at every stopsign, I'd reference my map (as i was stopped) and see if i was at the street where i would need to turn.

The officer was pretty far away and I may have stopped a car length or two before that place where I actually should have stopped.  That's an old habit from driving a truck for years and having a fear of it going dead on the road.

I was early for my son't Dr's appointment that day and I had absolutely no reason to not properly stop and I just I want to fight it.

I'm not from here though and I wonder how that works in Tulsa.  Would it do me any good to also mention that due to an injury, my husband is not able to work and I have to work three jobs just to pay rent and feed my kids.......?

And that another reason that I am a VERY careful/anal driver is that I can't afford $120 tickets.

Does anyone have any advice? Is there any point in trying to fight it? Anyone got any experience with these things?
