I HAVE NO WATER!!!!!   ARGH!!!!

The city has shut down water in my neighborhood for a few hours to work on pipes.  As best that I can tell, there are 30 to 40 residents without water.

I understand that occasional repairs need to be made, but shouldn't they let people know in advance when services are going to be shut down?  I talked with the guy doing the work and was shocked to find out that he knew he was going to be working on these as long as a week ago, but no one was notified.

Had we known in advance that the water was going to be shut off, we could have stocked up pon water, taken showers earlier and otherwise made plans to have worked around the shut-off.  The people who it is affecting is scrouging around at a last minute to try and re-schedule their day around this needless inconvenience.

Is there anyone else who has had this problem?  I would hope that this isn't Tulsa's normal way of providing "service" to its customers.
