New TMAPC Nomination

The mayor has nominated John H. Shivel, II, age 61, to the TMAPC to replace Brandon Jackson.  

Little in known about Mr. Shivel other than he is a Republican who has only lived in Tulsa since 2004 or 2005.  He resides in the 36th and Utica area of  Dist. 9.  He was a Col. in the Air Force in charge of some maintenance functions at Hill AFB at Ogden, UT until sometime in 2005.

Public records indicate that in 2002 he was from Santa Monica, CA when he married Vickie C. Mackey, a Tulsa Licensed Professional Counselor who offices on 21st Street.  

His nomination was reviewed in City Council committee on Tuesday, 10/17 and he will likely be up for a vote before the City Council in their Thursday meeting of 10/26.
