Chicken Little

from Herald Tribune:

quote:
WASHINGTON: The armed forces, already struggling to meet recruiting goals, are considering expanding the number of noncitizens in the ranks — including disputed proposals to open recruiting stations overseas and put more immigrants on a faster track to U.S. citizenship if they volunteer — according to Pentagon officials.

Foreign citizens' serving in the U.S. military is a highly charged issue, which could expose the Pentagon to criticism that it is essentially using mercenaries to defend the country. Other analysts voice concern that a large contingent of noncitizens under arms could jeopardize national security or reflect badly on Americans' willingness to serve in uniform...

I guess we'll be outsourcing Congress next. Hey, wait a minute, not a bad idea, at least for the outgoing Congress.

Someone Must Put an End to this Madness and Remove Bush and Cheney from Office -- and Then Try Them. Now, They are Considering Recruiting Foreign Mercenaries for the U.S. Military!

"Apparently, nothing focuses this man [Bush] like failure. He seemed energized by the gigantic mess he's made, and eager to make the mess worse. There's clearly something psychological at work here. He's spent his life trying to talk himself out of bad situations of his own making, so maybe this has put him in a comfort zone."

^Dude, you posted the same article...bad netiquette...shows you are not reading.

So what....a different link. Point is the man's off beat. Consider it a Presidential Sociopath Alert.

Because of Bush's sociopathic leadership of America into war and debt, projects that would help America are dying on the vine: "In private conversations across the country this holiday break, pediatricians are buttonholing their congressmen and making a heartfelt plea: Save the National Children's Study. Cash crunch imperils major tracking project."

"The issue is really an issue of prioritization" of limited research money, Elias Zerhouni, director of the National Institutes of Health, told a Senate hearing in May."

They have their priorities all screwed up.

Since we're talking APD, the "so what" is that posts on a forum should exhibit some kind of interplay.  Behavior counts.  Why do you think you get flamed so much?  Hint: it ain't your policy positions.

/"Antisocial Posting Disorder", btw.

You need to change your moniker to Little Chicken Sh#t....better suits you.

Personally, I don't like to leave a site to follow links to other sites.  I like it when people make their point in their own words in a few paragraphs.  Okay, I scan newspapers and usually don't go beyond the headline (copy editors rule).

Now, just because some people have jumped on Aoxamaxoa doesn't detract from him.  Most people in a group carry on like lemmings and when they see the group piling on they can't wait to start kicking.  I find that behavior lacking in character.

"It's a fool who plays the cool."  Aoxamaxoa ain't cool.  We don't need cool.

Yeah that's it. It's not AOX's own doing. It's not AOX's gems such as "Little Chicken Sh#t" or " Someone Must Put an End to this Madness and Remove Bush and Cheney from Office -- and Then Try Them" or "George W. Bush: a sadistic, torture-loving sociopath...."
Someone get Hoss a pacifier.

I don't need Homeboy passing judgement on me.....when cool was cool, some here were there. Not much cool these daze. Just look at  TV, Movies, Music, the local scene...things ain't what they used to be, not even close. And perhaps it's what has resulted from having a slug who is a very "queer" leader coupled with the faceless and depersonalized technology era.

BTW, I do not pretend to be a writer of merit which is why I post links which do a much better job explaining the truth. Plus, I don't have to put up with the lemmings attacking me....

Here! http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nationworld/bal-te.investigate26dec26,0,7071390.story?coll=bal-home-headlines
"Like any White House that has to deal with a Congress run by the other party, this White House has to bulk up its staff to deal with the inevitable flood of subpoenas. They're also going to have to coordinate with lots of friends and supporters," said Mark Corallo, a former top Republican aide to the House committee that issued more than 1,000 subpoenas to the Clinton camp."

guido911

Don't ya think Congress should be looking at ways of getting us out of Iraq, or hiking the minimum wage, or fixing the economy, or ending global warming, or even smashing Halliburton? Nope. The plan is to issue subpoenas to Bush. I actually hope this is the Democrat strategy. The American people love political in-fighting, bickering, and revenge politics.

Someone get Hoss a pacifier.

Its not.  There's an interesting article in the NY Times today...retaliation is not in the cards right now.  Of note:

- Hastert gets prime office space
- Pelosi is already in consultation with Boehner on next year's initiatives
- talk (with Boehner) of independent enforcement of House ethics rules
- Support for a severance package for outgoing senior Republican aides
- "full and open" conference committees where House and Senate bills are reconciled

Its not so much about being "nice" as it is recognizing how horribly wrong things have been going for the last few decades:
quote:
"The House has been so egregiously run for a number of years that it was seen as contributing both directly and indirectly to the election results," said Thomas Mann, a Congressional scholar at the Brookings Institution. "There really is a strong political incentive to try to do business differently."
