I'm going to say one thing: Just because my wife thinks Hillary is unelectable doesn't mean *I* think she's unelectable.

Hillary leads or is within the margin of error of just about every GOP candidate. She's leading by 15-20 points over her nearest Democratic challenger. It's not wise to scoff at numbers like that. She's got name recognition and, as Conan said, she's associated with a mostly successful administration.

And the Republicans had better hope for better news from Iraq soon, or they're done.

Of course, if she hits the campaign trail and falls flat on her face, then the strong numbers will evaporate. But those who say she has no chance are kidding themselves, I think.

I think regardless of who gets nominated on either side we will have another virtual 50/50 split for the next several presidential elections...so which do you prefer...the douchebag or a turd sandwich?

This is a bit O/T, although it does relate to a giant turd sandwich, what do you think Stuart Smalley's chances of winning a Senate seat are?

My apologies, I had to peek under the curtain and see what Aox is spewing now.

Suggested reading on Al Gore:

Real Change takes pokes at all candidates, not just the libs.

FICTION: The same sister died of lung cancer years later (1984) and Gore vowed to never accept tobacco money as campaign contributions.

FACT: Just four years later (1988), while campaigning for office, Gore spoke to the tobacco industry in Greenville, North Carolina and said he was one of them because "I've planted it, raised it, cut it, and dried it." He raised over $100,000 in "reported" contributions. His Sister died in 1984. He did not stop accepting campaign funding from Tobacco Company's until 1996.

IMO, Al Gore is a pathological liar who never lets facts get in the way of his political ambitions.

Thanks for the neo-con sites. They are quite useful to me!

BTW, Al Gore is not a hypocrite nor a liar. That's just the way you construe it to be. He abandon the tobacco movement. And you don't have me on ignore. Who is the real liar?

About the same as Clinton's chances in 1992....

Are you serious???  I don't think even hard-line libs take him that serious, otherwise Airhead America wouldn't have gone "breasts up".

I think Al Franken has a good shot at it.

After all, this is the same state that elected a pro 'rassler as governor.

Maybe Turd Sandwich and Cindy Sheehan can run throw in their hats as a combined ticket.

Talked to a young, African 'Mercan evangelical school teacher (TPS) who is beside herself with excitement about Obama.  Next on her list would be Edwards.  She is suspicious of Hillary and wants a new start.

Obama's the Seinfeld candidate.  It's a campaign about nothing at this point, that's why average joe likes him.  He hasn't been around long enough to make much of a record...

A Seinfeld candidacy helped Bush the first time around. [;)]

Hey, at least he was a gub'ner first.  Politics aside, I really think Obama looks better than any candidate we've seen in years.  So far he's honest, and personable, and can connect with the average guy for the most part.  His politics stink, but he seems to be genuine.

I feel sorry for the inevitable hatchet job that awaits this poor guy in the primaries.  I'd never want to be on the wrong side of a Clinton...well...any side for that matter!

Texas governor doesn't mean much. The state executive of Texas possesses the least amount of power of just about any state you can name.

Neither does Oklahoma...unless you like playing slots...
