Mayor's Daughter Arrested
KOTV - 3/16/2007 10:09 AM - Updated 3/16/2007 10:48 AM
Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor acknowledged Friday that her daughter, 24-year-old Elizabeth Frame, was arrested early Friday morning for drunk driving.

A Tulsa Police report says an officer pulled over Frame's vehicle just before 2 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of South Norfolk for running a stop sign. The report says Frame was arrested for a misdemeanor, first time DUI and was released on $1,000 bond.

The mayor, speaking to the media Friday morning, said this incident was a family matter, they are a strong family and would handle it privately.

Sad, but really no one's business.

It comes with the job.

It is also my business if her daughter gets preferential treatment.  As the daughter of both the Mayor and a Billionaire I'm guessing some strings would be pulled if we weren't watching.  They may be pulled anyway.

I guess Kathy isn't the only one in the family who likes the booze.

Double A

Give the girl a break. Unless it looks like she is getting preferential treatment, everybody should just lay off. I agree with the Mayor on this one.

President Bush got a DUI when he was thirty years old. Vice-President Cheney has had two.
Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton and Nichole Richey, Halle Berry, Diana Ross, Senator Ted Kennedy all have been arrested for drunk-driving.

Lots of people have been caught making this mistake and most of the people on this forum have probably done this without getting caught.

I am not excusing her, but agree that we should lay off.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Wow.  She could have injured/killed someone or herself.  I don't care who's done it, the president, vice president, whoever.  Justification of ignorant behavior by pointing to other ignorant behavior is just sad.

If she didn't want it to be a public matter she shouldn't have been driving drunk, then been subsequently arrested.  Once those two things happen it's a matter of public regord.

When someone drinks and drives it is most definitely OUR business.  She's driving on OUR roads and endagering OUR lives when doing so.  I could give a rip about whether she's the Mayor's spawn or not.

I bet da Mare is having seconds thoughts about her decision to hire outside the force in violation of the charter.

Nothing on OSCN yet.  That's usually updated pretty quickly.

http://www.oscn.net/applications/oscn/casesearch.asp?query=true&srch=0&web=true&db=Tulsa&icasetype=32&iDATEL=&iDATEH=&iCLOSEDL=&iCLOSEDH=&number=&iLast=Frame&iFirst=Elizabeth&iMiddle=&iID=&iDOBL=&iDOBH=&SearchType=0&iDCPT=&iDCType=0&iYear=&iNumber=&icitation=

And Im not giving this girl any more grief than anyone else that gets a DUI.  Even though, with her mother as mayor, its spectacularly stupid.  Not only does she have the legal trouble, but her mother's political career could be damaged.  Not to mention, people will obviously take notice.

Then again, if you take away a billionaires car I suppose she could always just ride around in a limo.  So who cares.

I agree.

There is no excuse for drunk driving.  It is probably the easiest cause of death to prevent in the United States.

Her daughter made a mistake, but she's not the public figure, her mother is.  As long as she didn't scream: "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" it's not really news-worthy.

Yes, you would think she would use better judgement, just like you would have thought the Bush twins would have when they got popped for using fake I.D.'s to get into bars.  Children of public figures do have lapses in good judgement much to their parent's chagrin.

With Ms. Taylor's track record for giving preferential treatment to friends and business associates (anyone care to bet that Lobeck has done business with Staubach before? Care to take bets as to whether the broker for the tech center tower is on the Talor/Lobeck Xmas card list?) it wouldn't surprise me if she tries to pull some strings and her daughter learns nothing from it other than not to piss mom off again.

Relax

I think it's filed (or will be) as a Municipal Midsdemeanor - so OSCN wont have a filing.

As always - I stand to be corrected.

And, it is really a private matter that shouldn't become public unless and until something out of the ordinary happens with disposition.

I'm sure this mistake is causing much pain in their family.

Rumour is that she requested "Counsel," specifically, the counsel of her mother.
