You must be confused, the economy is in the dumps here.  I know I've heard that over and over so it must be true.  Oh, wait.  4% unemployment, continued job growth, and continued new home construction.

I guess we are doing OK.

Of course, if you flip the list around and look at 5 year history Tulsa has not appreciate as well as one would hope.  Then again, if it had, people would be complaining that the fat cats had made it unlivable.  Really, there is no way to please some people.

the only reason tulsa has risen to the surface is because everywhere else is doing so poorly.  When mediocrity is considered good, TUlsa will be out in front.  im sure people will say slow consistent steady growth is good, but even when there is a setback, Phoenix and other high growth cities dont lose the things that come with that like pro sports teams and the like.  If Tulsa never sticks its neck out and takes a risk, it will always just be looked at as a safe bet, but nothing daring that tends to get the big bucks.
