Michael DelGiorno's replacement will be Chris Medlock.

I guess Don Imus wasn't controversial enough for KFAQ.
Power is nothing till you use it.

He finally has a job?

Conan71

Well, well, well.  Medlock will have a free media campaign for when he runs for public office again.  How, uh, nice.

Well, then again, KFAQ obviously didn't help his last campaign. [}:)]

Fortunately I've got a couple years worth of navel hair to clean out--a process that will be loads more exciting that listening to Medlock drone on and on and on and on and on . . . .

There was some press conference related to some city issue last year after his last failed campaign, when he did not have an office or premise for even being at the event.  Anyhoo, after the conductor of the press conference concluded it, Medlock stands and announces he is available for media interviews.  The journalists just ignored him.  Me-me-me-me-medlock!!

This happened on April 21st last year after the Arena Bids.

HA!  That's awesome!

tim huntzinger

Imus just looks like he is dead, Me-me-me-medlock sounds like it.

MichaelC

Oh now, there's a difference between acting good in front of the cameras and lettin' her rip on right-wing radio.

Knowing what little I know about him, I suspect he'll be sufficient for KFAQ.

I love it.  KFAQ and Medlock compliment each other very well IMO.

Conan71

Just what we need another sour-puss ex-politician with his own radio show.

Jeez, I miss Ehrling.

thetysonwynn

Yeah, I miss Erling, too.

Like a bacterial infection.

Tulsa (and the surrounding area) is better off for having had MDG on the air these last five years or so. His exit will leave a void that you all have not seen since Erling and the KMR was the only game in town.

Medlock has proved himself to be intelligent, engaging, and eloquent. Why don't we give him a shot behind the mic as host before he is dismissed. Liek all radio folks, he will live or die by his performance.

How are we better off? What has he done other than proved a schismatic unable to shoot straight?  What has his peanut gallery done other than cheer his insanity on?  Chris has been on the show lots and is as compelling as cheese mold.  Joke Elly is now the Man.

cannon_fodder

That's it.  We need a grass roots movement to get Paul Tae and Biker Fox to co-host a show with the preacher guy that shouts at people downtown on general issues effecting Tulsa.  The banter, shouting, and generally insanity would rule and could very often ends in on air fits of rage.

Why settle for anything less?

At least it would be interesting.  Gwen's hoarsy rasp is not going to carry the show.
