Hi there
Keen to come into tulsa from Aus for this year's PGA
Accomodation seems quite expensive and not easy to find.
Any ideas for an out of towner. I'm very keen to get to southern hills for this one.
thanks

You could try Craigslist  or Tulsa World Classifieds.

It's gonna be big bucks close to the golf course. You could save money by staying across town and renting a car. Tulsa is very easy to navigate.

This ramada is not far and I think about $50US a night.

How many people are we talking here?  A single guy, a couple, a family?

There are some people that are renting our their houses as the US tax codes allows a person to rent their home for two weeks free of any tax consequences (NO INCOME TAX!).  I know of a couple and could check with them.

Otherwise, just find a hotel ANYWHERE in Tulsa.  If you are interesting in going out to bars in the evening Downtown or Midtown would probably be the best places (you can get a cab from any bar district to anywhere down/midtown for $20).    The rates and occupancy are only going to get worse as we approach the tee-off.

Feel free to post any hotels that you want advise on and what you are really looking for (luxury or just a place to sleep... or somewhere in between).  Everyone on here is more than happy to help.

We look forward to seeing you in Tulsa.

thanks everyone for all your help with this.
had a bit of a look through your suggestions

i'm an aussie guy coming to tulsa for the PGA by myself. hopeful to be able to spend the week among other golf fans. ideally would like to pay to board somewhere???

not too fussed about how fancy the place is, just clean and comfortable i guess. preferably not too far from the course as i don't really want to hire a car. i am a good walker so would like to be able to get out on foot to see some of tulsa as well.

have checked out a couple of hotels - namely

Baymont Inns & Suites Tulsa
4530 East Skelly Drive
Tulsa, Ok74135

and

Tulsa Days Inn South
8888 South Lewis Avenue
Tulsa, Ok74137

views?

thanks again everyone.
