I and some friends have had deliveries at St. Johns recently and all come away with very pleasant experiences.  Nurses and Docs during all phases were nice, informative, and very patient.  I would certainly recommend them however I have nothing to compare them to in this City.  Better experience here than I had in two other similarly sized cities and hospitals.

Additionally, it was nice being right across from Utica Sq.  Visiting family were able to walk across and buy us very nice gifts.

Slightly off topic...But see, why no hotel right there by the hospitals and museums, utica square, near Brookside and Cherry Street, very close to downtown, etc.

Great big hunk of open property right there by the corner. Any developers out there?

Keep in mind if you plan on having a tubal ligation after the childbirth that St John's is a Catholic hospital and won't perform the operation as it is a form of birth control.

Does your insurance company not dictate what hospital you will use?  Many do.

Many hospitals dictate which hospitals you will use by deciding which insurance they will accept.  its a strange relationship to be sure, but insurance companies rarely refuse to do business with a health care provider.  Usually the provider does not want to operate under the terms and refuses the insurance.

Why does Hillcrest have a bad perception?  Was there a big malpractice suit there or something?

it used to be non-profit and served a disproportionate number of indigent patients and medicare/medicaid... but that has charged dramatically since it became a for profit entity....

I swent through the past two years of TulsaWorld.com as well as google and didn't find either one of them.

As of now I'll file it away with "Target doesn't sell american flags because they're owned by foreigners," and other rumors.

No need for a developer for that chunk of land, H&P owns it. They will build something.

Yes I know. My dream development for that spot. H&P headquarters, or they can stay downtown, but with shops on the first floor, middle floors H&P headquarters or other businesses. Top floors a nice hotel with a ground floor lobby and a rooftop, garden, restaurant looking out over swan lake and a stunning view of downtown. Something like this...

If only I had the money lol. Come on H&P you can do it.[:D]
