I wrote this for one of the Speedways, thought I would pass it on to this group. When a fire breaks out, you can never be over prepared.  With the rainy season ending soon, I sure hope, bar b que season should start up with the good old outdoor grills. And lawnmowers have been used quite a bit recently with all the rain.

Here are some Fire Bottle ideas and where to find service for them.

____________________________________________
Always when using a fire bottle, approach the fire, stand about 8 to 10 feet back, and using a sweeping motion at the BASE of the FIRE sweep side to side, moving the flow of the chemical up along the base as it moves upwards.

Majority of times the fire will not explode as seen on movies. The quicker you can approach the fire and get some chemical on it the better. The first few seconds of a fire are the most critical.

Be sure you have the proper Fire Bottle chemical and size for the job. Check with your supplier and inform them if you will be fighting gasoline and or methanol fuel fires.

ACCURATE FIRE EQUIPMENT

These folks have the proper equipment and have supplied residential, business and industry in Oklahoma with fire equipment for years. The Cornwell's can help if you do not have a good supplier. They also can refill low or empty bottles. Check your bottle(s) today and run it by their shop if it is low.

What size and type do you need. For around the home a 5lb ABC type is a good all start. I suggest you contact Stuart Cornwell or Betty Crawford at Accurate Fire Equipment for the latest and best applications in Fire Bottles.

Don't own one? Every area that contains gasoline such as home garages, service areas in businsesses, and storage areas should always have properly charged 10lb Bottle hanging in plain site. All employees, household members old enough to handle the bottles and other should be shown where they are, and trained in how to use them in case of a fire.

To check on your needs, update your service, have low bottles re-charged or to purchase fire bottles, contact:

Betty - Extinguisher Sales/Service
918-437-5572

She has been in the business for her entire life, her family has owned and operated Accurate Fire Equipment since 1945. No one in this area knows more about this business than these folks, and they provide excellent service and are sincerely concerned about your safety.
