Finally, there is a sanctuary policy da Mare and I can agree on. Marijuana prohibition is a stupid waste of a potentially lucrative new source of tax revenues that clogs up our law enforcement and prison systems with typically non-violent, harmless offenders. Not to mention that the collateral damage of this prohibition is we have effectively squandered a safe, green, renewable resource in terms of medicinal marijuana, industrial hemp, and biofuel uses.  BTW, clove cigarettes? Is that what the Whirled calls a left handed cigarette these days?

kathy griffin was funny as hell but the brady sound system sucks balls and it was hotter than two rats ****in' in a wool sock...

alas, we had to miss the pulls due to kathy griffin, but heard it was great...

the effects were excellent...
hero factor was- well, hero factor... not much more...
bang bang bang was awesome and, maybe, a little baked...
the format, 45 minutes late, sounded tight and studio perfect...
elliot and the letter ostrich were great and as odd as ever...
sam and the stylees put on one hell of an impressive show...

two nights in a row, we walked up to a waiting cab... somebody slap me, is this tulsa?

Saw Approaching August and was very impressed.  Also stayed and watched Erin Austin with her amazing vocals and then of course the Lips.  Those guys freaking rock.  My favorite moment was when he was relaying the Mayor's comments about allowing pot smoking for just that day...priceless!
Great photos!

Tonight I am going to see local product Jesse Aycock at the Arnie's stage at 9p, straight out of Brooklyn, The Ladybug Transistor http://theladybugtransistor.com/ at the Continental 10p and of course Amos Lee at 11p.

This fest is something special.

Has anyone here bid on Wayne Coyne's couch on display at Dwelling Spaces?  You can bid on E-bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Flaming-Lips-DFEST-UFO-Autographed-by-Wayne-Coyne-Couch_W0QQitemZ160138144343QQihZ006QQcategoryZ104742QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

could not believe that approaching august is unsigned, from okc and had never been to t-town before... they swore they'd be back...

LOL!  I didn't get to see the beginning of that, but knowing now that KT's face was up there, I wish I'd seen it!

What was the deal with the Factor being 45 minutes behind???  I was about to die of suffocation up there!

Cabs? Tulsa? Surely not! [;)]

The kids are alright. MC Chris and Sam and the Stylees rocked too hard for one hand. I've lost my voice and my liver/lungs will pay dearly, but you buy the ticket, you take the ride. Let's do it again next year! Cheers!

Agreed....look for improvements now that the sound owner is returning to the scene.

I imagine she would have been more upset by the chorus of boos, howls of you suck, and unfriendly hand gestures she got when she came on stage(I swear it wasn't just me).

I find it hilarious this thread is not larger. This is the best thing to happen to Tulsa in years.

My favorite show was JFJO at Exit 6C last night.

No contest.

I had a fun time, but it was pretty standard stuff. I enjoyed him a lot more than I did the Flaming Lips for sure though.
