Sorry Mr. TheArtist, I had low blood sugar.  BTW, I love your work.  I agree with what you said above about the walkable city stuff.   You have it all right. IMO

These were independent thoughts - this was one of those "crappy first drafts." Allow me re-arrange and expand thusly:

Part of being downtown is the homeless people. Most of them are harmless, and that is just urban. If you don't know how or can't deal with them, stay out at 71st & Memorial. Just say no and keep walking - trust me nothing will happen.

You guys have to start thinking "BIG CITY" and stop thinking "BROKEN ARROW." Nothing big in this city will ever get accomplished if you don't stop it. I'm gonna throw up.  Don't be such pansies about homeless people and city life. It's tough.

Oh yeah and ANOTHER THING,

I work downtown, and until the Firestone was demolished, that was my mechanic. Firestone was well used down here (I ride the bus now, so I don't need no stinkin mechanic).

As a lifelong downtowner, I understand the the reasons why the location was selected but also questioned that. Why weren't they making the decision to go over by OSU Tulsa, as MB suggested? That was the sensible place. Everything is dense in downtown. Shuttles and other forms of transportation could have cured the problem of the civic center. I can't imagine that they need each other to exist anyway.

That's a little better, But I gotta go get a Snickers bar before I pass out....

Now that I have read this whole post I really have a problem with...

"OKC puzzled by Tulsa's approach to downtown"

...when in reality we are talking about a writer for The Oklahoman.  So, one guy doesn't like the layout.  Who cares?  Next time write an accurate subject line.  I was expecting to hear the Oklahoma City Council make some profound remark about our plan or maybe some survey done in OKC by thousands of OKC dwellers speaking out against our plan...whatever.  Article marked as lame.  Can I digg these down?  :-)

I tried to include the word "writer," but I seemed to hit some sort of character limit. Writing catchy, brief, and precise headlines is an art for which I have no talent. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Well crap in the bed.  Now you're going to make me feel bad.  ;-)  I got hassled in another forum about the South County crap.. I guess I'm in a bad mood.  *searching for comfort food*, *opens fridge*
