Rico:

On behalf of the local GOP, I hereby accept your apology.

You are hereby forgiven.

Atonement Certificate issued in your name.

And, in the spirit of forgiveness, please FORGIVE me for being a Registered Republican.

It's frequently nauseating at times to admit to being one, and PLEASE do my tell my children that I'm a Registered Republican.

But out here in South Tulsa, many of the political races are decided in the GOP primaries and run-offs; there are no Democrat candidates running.

So, if I'm not a registered GOP'er, I don't get to vote in many local races........

Well Bear... I tend to vote for who I think will do the best job.. I don't like endorsing "Party Lines"...

It is a shame that when primaries roll around you have to be in one party or the other to make your vote count.

In local races,, the party affiliation and party principles matter little to the local politicians.

You've got purportedly conservative Republicans who completely cave and crumple their so-called principles, due to the power and influence of the ruling power Oligarchy and their desires to fleece the local citizenry of ever more tax dollars, circa the Kaiser River Tax.

After all, what local politician needs the Lorton's World as an enemy?

Hence, supposedly conservative GOP Tulsa County Commissioners John Small-ego and Fred Parry, who have historically campaigned on smaller government/less taxes, now come out and support BY THEIR AFFIRMATIVE VOTE a new Regressive Sales tax increase.

For many decades, the local ruling Oligarchy has pre-selected their favored candidates and run them simultaneously in both parties in our local elections, fostering a Win-Win election for them.

Just remember our last two mayoral races:

Gary Watt, City Councilor and School Board Attorney running against Bill MisFortune, a scion of one the Dozen Ruling Families.  Two very establishment types "competing" for the mayor's position.

A perfectly safe bet for the local Ruling Oligarchy, regardless of who actually wins.

Followed 4 years later by incumbent Mayor Major MisFortune running against one of the richest women in town, Chatty Kathy Taylor, the Homewrecker with only the 2nd most expensive house in Tulsa......

Again, a perfectly safe bet for the local Ruling Oligarchy regardless of who wins.

How CAN they LOSE with candidates like that???

And, by being patient, they got rid of those nuisances Medlock and Mautino, although it did take a Recall Election followed by a General Election to retire those minor irritants from local politics.

But, in their nightmare world of the perversity of UNINTENDED RESULTS, they now have Mr. Medlock, dogging their tail 3.5 hours per day, 5 days per week, in the bully-pulpit of local talk radio KFAQ-AM.

Now that is justice.......

Expect the daggers to come out after Oct. 9 for John Eagleton.

Expect he'll soon be afforded the Lorton's World Tried & True, patented "Anna Falling, Todd Huston, Chris Medlock, and Jim Mautino Serial Smear Campaign".
