Yeah, it's fairly obvious they've been doing some polling and the thing is sinking fast.

The mendacity is something to behold, isn't it?  One day the $5,000,000 for pools is part of the $117 million and was always included, but we just didn't happen to mention it.  The next day it's in addition to the $117 million and not connected to the river funds, but oh, did we mention it's contingent on the passage of the river tax???

I hear you...

I fully expect that an announcement or a hint will be made... Kaiser plans to make another gift to the City if this Tax passes.

I'm with one of the commenters on todays swirl...next week's bribe will offer to bring Bell's back!!!  LOL!

Maybe Michael Bates will drop that little bait in front of them in next week's column on Bell's.  I found their announcement timely since Bates mentioned the fact of neglected parks and pools in this week's column which came out on Weds.  I do think people are paying attention to him, and I think there are people lurking on this board to get a feel for public opinion.

Whadya bet there's a rendering with a ferris wheel on the river banks before Oct. 9?

SGrizzle, you still going to vote for this?

These people can't even afford a decent PR firm, what makes you think they can improve the river with any better level of competence.  I say throw it back to INCOG, let them finish the master plan and go from there.

Several incog drawings had a ferris wheel on them years ago.

Still voting for it, even put up TWO signs in my yard just for FB.

Sheesh, I hope you aren't planning on moderating any debates on the issue prior to the vote, cause we all know how that makes for an unfair debate.

I don't have any signs in my yard. I guess that makes me a perfect moderator.

Hey Mikey... I happened to make it over to your neck of the woods last Saturday... Did a quick count of signs on the major streets... Near as I could figure the "Vote NO" signs were the larger number..

My question is I saw one sign that said "Ron Paul 2008" and another that said "El Rio es Por Los Puercos"

Does your Neighborhood have some form of a parallel Election going on.....

I saw a bunch of signs for some candidate named Sale. I don't know him, but I like what I see.

People have always said I was "For Sale", but up until now, I didn't know what they were saying.

If they offer to bring Bells back I will definitely vote NO. One goal is to make the city look better, not worse.

I don't know if they want me to vote for that guy or if they want me to just hope he has a really good next year.

I want 2008 to be good for everybody. I think we all need to make signs like that.

Actually Michael, I think there are several brothers or cousins from the Sale family who are perpetually running for something:  Garage, Rummage, Yard, Junk, and Estate.  Their parents had an odd sense of humor.

You know the most popular name for a ski slope don't you?  "Emergency Phone".  I see those signs with an arrow pointing down a trail at every ski resort.

Sangria

I'll take a dozen No Miller signs and pay for them myself.

They have not yet bribed gifted anything to Glenpool yet.

Not so much as a jar of generic vasilene. [:D]

anyone notice all the signs located on the right of ways?

Glenpool will have the highest sales tax in the County if this passes. How's that gift?
