Sounds like a lot of you had the statistically "non traditional" family, aka one set of biological parents. I had the typical Tulsa family so really no traditional place we ate at, car, paper, radio, tv, etc.

Went like this... Parents had me, divorced, each remarried. Lived with mom and her best friend Carol for a few years, then mom and step dad for a few years "they had my sister", then lived with dad and step mom for a few years "she had a daughter from a previous marriage" they also had my other sister, then lived with mom and her bf, then lived with dad and step mom, then lived with single mom, then mom and dad remarried "had my little brother". Occasionally lived with grandmother throughout that time. There may have been more in between there and the timeline may not be completely accurate, ya loose track after a while lol.

Lived in more houses than I can remember. Went to school in more schools than I remember, in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, and Owasso. Lived in one household that didnt go to church and mom was a science teacher and professor, to another household that went to church every sunday, prayed in a circle before the kids went out to play and went to a fundamentalist church where people would speak in tounges and wallow around on the floor. Lived in the city, went to a school where the kids smoked pot in the bathrooms and there were bars on the windows. To living in the country, gardened, fed and milked cows. Relatively wealthy nice houses to very small trailer and everything in between.

Have any "family" or longtime Tulsa ways changed since you were a kid?

Heck they changed regularly WHEN I was a kid lol.

Were there things that were "religion" that were usually not deviated from in your parents household vs. your own household?

Ummm,is that supposed to be a trick question? Which parents? [:P]

Tulsa Mini- try the hickory burger at the new Ike's next to Linda Mar.  Not saying it's better than Arnold's it's compairing apples to organges, it's not a griddle burger.  Thick patty, they must put crack in it because I can't quit thinking about it.  Chimi's, eh?  Didn't you used to do some ad work for them?  It's ringing a bell.

Speaking of the Linda-Mar...

Most places only have vanilla, chocolate or strawberry shakes. The Linda-Mar drive-in has a cherry shake.

It is very, very good.
