I love Italian food.  My favorite Friday night is going to Dalesandro's for dinner and then 1740 Wine Bar for (liquid) dessert.

I would like to know some other TULSA options for great Italian food.  Some place with a good wine offering would be nice too.

Any opinions?

i like dalesandros better... i'll have to try delisandros...

Bruno,
It's a good idea to quote when correcting someone's spelling. Otherwise they get sneaky and edit the original in an attempt to make you look stupid. [:P]

And besides, haven't Tulsa's Italian restaurants been discussed umpteen times already????

i know... i was giving him grief but leaving it open for him to amend it... the mispronunciation/misspelling of that particular restaurant is a pet peeve of mine...

Thanks!  I'm a horrable spellifyer.  Good thing I've got Speelcheque on my comupter!

Thanks for the correction.

But seriously, I lived in St. Louis for quite a while and haven't gotten any OUTSTANDING Italian since.

I feel your pain. I lived near St. Louis for eight years, and got spoiled by The Hill.

My favorite Italian restaurant is Napoli's. It is very casual but extremely good. They have two locations and both are good. The Alla panna sauce is to die for. I get it on the chicken parmigiana instead of the marinara.

I can second that. The Chicken Carchovi...yum! Hubby always gets the Lobster Ravioli. Sometimes we pick up pizza to take home -- it's FABULOUS!!

We go to the W 61st & 33rd location. No atmosphere; Awesome food. And now serving beer and wine.  [:)]

Make that three on Napoli's.  I liked Bella Italia a lot when it was still around, but that's been gone for ten years or better now. He was one of the original partners in Ti-Amos, or so I was told.  I liked Dalesandro's better when it was still on Main Mall.

I can still out-run Buzz so I don't worry too much about being critical of him. [;)]

Yes, Napoli's is good. I really like the Italian Cafe when it was in the same place in B.A. I loved the 3 pepper Chicken!!

What happened to Pamadories (sp?)??? They have been there forever! I parked outside the place twice this week before I realized it was closed (no wonder I got a space!)

For Italian food, I heard that there is a town by McAlester that excels in that cuisine.

Same thing that happened to Camarelli's.  Word around the campfire is there's a gambling problem in there somewhere.

I was never a fan of Camarelli's, I was completely ignored by snooty waiters while they were busy hovering around tables of particular preference. I preferred to go up the street to Mary's.  They always have a great attitude and great food.

Krebs. Just east of Mcalester. It's an old Italian settlement with a lot of restaurants. I've been through it several times, but never have gotten to stop and eat, yet.
We went to Camarelli"s in Sept. and the service and food were great. We go out early before the crowds hit so it wasn't busy.

Don't bother with the restaurants in Krebs(there really is only a few: Pete's Place, Isle of Capri, and I think one other). Way overpriced, food is average, and the service-at least at Pete's-sucked. If you want to sample Pete's sauce, I think you can get it at Petty's.

Now, the Italian grocery store in Krebs is another story. There is where you can get homemade Italian cheese (cacia cavallo) and very good deli meats, especially the proscuitto. They also have their own marinara and have some hot foods.
Someone get Hoss a pacifier.
