Since hearing the old cliché about changing a light bulb with one holding the bulb and four persons turning each leg of the step ladder it become more amusing after the article in today's paper.   In the report on the sale of city property it seems it would take an extra two in Tulsa to change a bulb.  One to receive the changers bad bulb and the other to hand him a new one.

The comedy on the selling of the city property to pay off the revenue notes on the new city hall is slowly coming to light.  The working poor  and retirees were under the impression that that the sale of surplus city property would be applied to the revenue bonds.

The mayor does a good job communicating with the city employees but fails to communicate with the working poor on the duplicating the city development trust with an out-of-state reality company at the cost of $538 dollars per acre to promote the sale and $40,000 dollars per million if they sell any of it.  In the event that a third party is called in, they will receive $60,000 dollars per million of the sale.

Then it was not commutated that part of the city land for sale has a federal claim on the sale of those parcels from the Block Grants.

Do you believe those taxpayer, who are struggling with their limited incomes, are being informed or communicated with for the back door taxation that is being forced on them?

FOTD

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the foe, that' all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie

Do ya?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

There's nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now the parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Shadows,

When pontificating about "the poor", why don't you consider how your friends Richard and Oral Roberts have enriched themselves and built huge monuments to their own egos on the backs of people that are largely very poor and desperate?

Taxes are a "necessary evil", televangelists like the Roberts using and twisting religion for only their own gain is just plain old "evil".
