What a week in Football!

The biggest game of the season in pro football is this Thursday night with the Packers at the Cowboys.

The state has two teams playing this weekend with Oklahoma playing for the Big 12 championship against Missouri and the University of Tulsa playing for a Conference USA championship against Central Florida.

The State 6A high school championship is once again Union versus Jenks and Bixby is playing for a championship in 5A.

How about some football?

It might sound selfish or stupid, but I was really hoping we (TU) would lose... I HATE Orlando.  The last trip we made there, their fans (which are worse than ANY redneck, hillbilly fanbase I've seen) were absolutely disgusting.
A) Threw a beer bottle and hit a baby in the head.
B) Started hitting (punching, kicking) members of our band.
C) Screaming things that would make sailors blush.

There were several other incidents, as well.  Add to that the bums who decided to pee by our buses (then walk through it), and everything else that makes Orlando, and you've got a horrible trip.

They make OU's fans look like aristocrats.

UCF's students are super-nice, though.

I just wish I didn't have to board the stupid plane on Friday.

Disney World is nice, but that's not Orlando [8D]

They have announced the Union/Jenks game will be on Friday night at Chapman Field (Skelly Stadium).

It should be a big crowd and a big game.

I love it when Jenks and Union get a re-match in the title game.  I don't think either team has swept the other when they've played twice in the same season.  Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I might mosey down for the game, or just sit and watch it with my feet propped on a beer keg at home. [)]

What is it with south Tulsa County and Football success?

Jenks?Union in 6A, Bixby in 5A and I forgot Glenpool playing for the state championship in 4A...

Is it something in the water, the air or the attitude?
