Is there a sale, coupon or discount?

No doubt, RM! Can we at least all agree that tasty foodstuffs and discounts are a good thing?  Those are great links and I will certainly be sure to use them in future.

RM have you heard of Freecycle.org? That should be right up your alley.

I used to go to the freecycle sites when they first started up. My wife would send me all over town to pick up some crazy item that someone else didn't need anymore.

We got a good outdoor metal frame sofa and a full set of bowling pins, but most of the other stuff was not worth the drive.

There are many levels in the lifecycle of a well-made item. From retail, to re-gift, to garage sale and e-bay, to free cycle or give to a friend, they all have a spot before the landfill.

There are some things where I insist on new. I would never use someone else's hairbrush but would feel very comfortable brushing my hair in a mirror that had been in many homes before mine.

Power is nothing till you use it.

One of the best programs is Borders Rewards.  I get email coupons from them almost weekly, sometimes twice a week.

I'll buy those entertainment discount cards from friend's soccer teams, etc. but never remember to use it at participaing restaurants.

A coupon site one time had $2 off all Suave products.  Target sells many Suave products for less than $2.   I got a case of shampoo and a case of conditioner for free with a promise that I would not be back for the same promotion.

Not my fault their promotions department screwed up.  [^]

Suave Shampoo and Conditioner? What did you use it for? [:P]

bah!  It actually works really well in my hair and does fine for my boy.  My wife, for some reason, needs to spend $1000 on each bottle of shampoo.  A haircut also costs, I think, $2500 for a women.  Where I just give a few beers to a friend after he buzzes my head.

Dang women, all needing expensive things to look pretty.   I say they save the effort and half the money, just get all the men drunk.

My mom used to buy the Dallas Morning News at Steve's.  (It's no longer distributed in Tulsa.)  One of the things we noticed was how much better their Sunday coupons were.  People at the grocery store would say "Wow, where do you find your coupons?"  By comparison, the Tulsa World coupons are pretty crap.  Buy 2 save 25 cents....  Bah, humbug!
