Has anyone seen ice or glzed roads in the core of tulsa?  There is nothing in the south.  I have heard reports about some ice in the extreme western part of Tulsa county.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I've heard spotted reports around. The sand trucks were out this morning looking for bad spots butt there weren't many in my area.

We got some ice on the road in front of my house in east Tulsa. My car has about a quarter inch on it as well.

They say a bigger ice storm is coming tonight after midnight. Maybe they will cancel school tomorrow.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Here in Owasso we have ice covered roads.  Just heard a lot of the town has lost power.

Midtown by TU is covered. I have mini-icicles hanging off of everything.

Our electricity just came back on about an hour ago here in Owasso.  Many of the businesses on 96th street were closed this morning.  Trees are down all over the neighborhood.  The PD said limbs were sagging onto exposed power lines all over town.  It may not be over yet.

Wasn't bad here, Bixby, earlier but it is starting to get nasty outside. Just made a run to QT for some milk and the streets were getting slick.

it looks like a big chunk of midtown south of 21st is out of power.  I keep getting spikes, throwing everything out.

The damage this storm has done to trees in just a little over twelve hours is unbelievable.

It is not that usual to have to watch the overhead clearance of your vehicle.... The trees were really bent over that far. Mapleridge.... Swan Lake... Riverside Drive and all surrounding areas.

The ice storm in 87 did substantial damage to the trees ... But if I remember correctly it took quite a few days... all of the damage done in this short of a period of time is unreal.

This storm, so far, will take weeks for the cleanup and repair to be done.

If any of you live in  homes that have large trees.... My sincere advice would be to best guess were the trees would land if they came down and avoid that area completely.

Cuidado... Muy Peligroso Afuera....Cuidado.

We should rename this the  "OMG the ICE!" thread. Its 4 in the morning, keep being woke up by flashes of blue light and that eerie electrical sound. My bedroom is on the second floor and usually I look out the foot of my bed and see a wall of leafy evergreen. Now, nada. Got up and that row of large bushy trees are halfway to the ground.  Last couple hours have been like looking at a disaster in slow motion, happening all around the house....And the rain keeps coming.

Feel like some sort of little critter scurrying around helplessly watching the whole world freeze around him.  This is not the kind of thing that is supposed to happen in the city. Nature is supposed to be more well behaved and know its place here. I pay my taxes!

And oh yea.... Its all the Mayors fault!

My mother just called and her power is and has been out at the 91st and Mingo area. I called PSO and they estimate power to be back on Wednesday at 10:00pm.

My power has gone out a couple of times in Jenks, but has come back on both times.

Anyone know how the streets are? I'm planning on going to get her after it's light out.

Channel 6 just estimated almost 100,000 customers out of power in Tulsa alone.  Thats a lot of the city.

NO kidding! I was up until 5am outside looking at all the trees fall apart around me. I will post some pics of the carnage later today.

over 150,000 customers are out of electric....so far. I live in the woods out south and can feel the timber fall. Lots of damage. I hear mid town is devastated. Utica Square got hit real hard.

What a shame. I will never complain about PSO and their attempts to keep lines clear. I have electric today and only because of their clear cutting during the past 2 years.
