Had posted some threads before of Tulsa and Philbrook but they weren't that organized. I posted this one on another Forum and decided to show it here as well. Wish we had a section for people to place their photo threads like other forums do, hint hint.[8D] That way new people can look under the photos section and see pics of Tulsa and the area and, or, add their own.

First some general views of...     Downtown Tulsa

Boston Avenue, lately because the street and sidewalk has been torn up for repaving, the locals have taken to calling it Baghdad Avenue lol.

I think the Philtower is most peoples favorite old skyscraper in Downtown Tulsa. I know its mine. Though not the most elaborate or tallest, etc. There is something about it that grabs your attention when you see it in real life.

Here are some photos of the beautiful Villa Philbrook. It was the home of the Phillips Petroleum oil baron and is now a museum. It is but one of the many incredible mansions that are from Tulsas golden age. You will notice the Phillips name on many great structures in Tulsa, Philbrook, The Philcade and Philtower. Its amazing the money they had and the stories you hear about them from that period in time. The Villa recently had its gardens refurbished. I believe it cost over 15 million dollars to do. These pictures just show a fraction of the Villa and the Gardens.

There are also many beautiful Churches and Cathedrals Downtown.

This is actually in a park near downtown but I thought it went well with the above pic and the other pics I had of some Tulsa homes in the snow.

Well thats a start. Will add more as I get them. Especially more of the homes.

Nice work!

Wasn't there a walking tour of the downtown Art Deco at one time?

May you live in interesting times.

Some really amazing pics.  I'll have to revisit this thread when I have more time to appreciate them.

Great framing of the picture on the 1st National.  Very interesting perspective.

That's a good point; not to be rude, but do you have any ties or any interest in being here?  Or are you just pimping your websites?

While you seem to advertise for various car parts websites everywhere you post, at least most of the forums are car forums.  Seems like you just want somewhere, anywhere, to advertise your websites and boost your Google rating.  A trend I don't want to see start here.

Sorry if I'm wrong, but if I'm right please take your trade elsewhere.  And tell your friend "sleepyhead" the same thing.

Indeed, "T" Towne has a nice skyline. The pictures look great.

Thanks all.  As for the camera, most of the pics are taken with my Canon Rebel XTi. A few are taken with my old Casio.

I really enjoyed your pics.  Very nice.

I have gotten notice that this thread can take a while to download for some people because of the pic sizes. It takes about 5 seconds on my computer. Is anyone else having a problem? Or is it just a Mac thing lol. [:P]
