There are several problems with the site for one.  Whoever the programmer is dosen't understand some of the rules about Keywords.  He/she has listed the same word more than 3 times which will disqualify the site from most search engines.

<meta name="keywords" content="carpe diem delivered groceries, carpe-diem delivered groceries, carpe diem, carpe, diem, carpe diem online, carpe-diem online, carpe-diem, carpe diem online, online groceries, groceries online, online grocery shopping, grocery shopping online, tulsa shopping, owasso shopping, tulsa groceries, owasso groceries, tulsa grocery, owasso grocery, tulsa delivery, owasso delivery, tulsa deliverd groceries, owasso deliverd groceries, carpe diem tulsa, carpe diem owasso, carpe-diem tulsa, carpe-diem owasso, tulsa, owasso, seize the day online, seize the day, grocery shopping online, tulsa food, owasso food, tulsa food shopping, owasso food shopping, tulsa grocery shopping, owasso grocery shopping, free delivery, ">

Second, it looks like it was a simple database driven purchased online market website template.  I looked through the source code and with the exception of the Paypal linkage, any submitted information is not encrypted.

I wonder what the percentage of people in North Tulsa with computers and PayPal accounts is?  Paypal is usually a form of payment associated with experienced online shoppers.  I don't know the demographics of North Tulsa, but I can't see a whole lot of online grocery shoppers.

not only is the website stupid...so is the concept.  Now, instead of the robbers and thugs coming to you, you go to them?  What idiot thought this one up?

And the website takes Paypal?  Oh yeah, there are a LOT of north Tulsans who use Paypal.  This MUST be a joke.

So will the delivery drivers be packin'?

I'm not a moderator (but I slept in a Holiday Inn Express last night) -

But - isn't this spam? There are several posts all built around trying to "research" or get market info from this site in order to start or grow this person's business.

I don't mind someone getting on here and informing us of a new service or business - but several "stealth" posts and questions?

I don't have a problem with this.  If someone wants to do market research through Tulsa Now, I think it gives us an opportunity to give some very honest and blunt opinions and it stimulates discussion.  After all, Tulsa Now IS MARKET RESEARCH!

I can see what this person is doing, and if TulsaNow can help in the success of an entrepreneur or prevent the venture into an unwise business, I'm all for it.  It serves the better good.

If a local person gets on here and asks what we think about a site they have created, I have no problem with it and think we should offer helpful criticism, or praise if warranted. They got on my nerves with how they approached the Jenks thing, but even there they had the gumption to keep coming back and argue their case. Not what your "typical spam" would do.

Btw, I like the idea on this site. Will be nice to see it with pics of the products. I couldnt find the "about us" page? Are you all a local company?

I've used web grocery services before and they have been really useful. There are a lot of supermarkets who do it and still do it.

Not yet, work are paying me to do a masters so I'm tied up for the moment. Planning on moving down sometime in the near future though.

One of the things that I read is lack of pictures of products.  The back end of the system search was pretty amazing.  Xeal, Tony Baker? Has he made anyone money? What else would make this site more appealing?

This person asked for opinions about the website, they didnt ask for your opinion on if it would work in certain areas of the city.
I have lived in many cities that have this type of service, and some work, some do not.
Its a great concept for the elderly, but usually they do not have computers or know how to use them.
Its also a good service for single mothers who dont like packin 4 kids to the grocery store.
Maybe they should get one that delivers crack,so Uniteller can just order his from his pc!

First of all they did not ask for any input from tulsanow.com, it must have been a concerned citizen that asked you for your opinions. I'm sure they appreciate those that tried to be helpful. But to the rest of you, you might want to do some research before you offer opinions. They not only service north Tulsa but all of Tulsa, Jenks Owasso and a few others of the surrounding towns. The website never once mentions "North" in connection to Tulsa to imply north Tulsa, but they do not exclude North Tulsa from there market. To answer your question about delivering to North Tulsa, Yes the drivers will be "packing". To the guy who doesn't know were "Tula" is. If you don't know where Tulsa is you shouldn't be on TulsaNow giving opinions. The "About Us" link is at the bottom of the home page. Yes they are a local company operating out of Tulsa. But with no office available for visit. BTW just because a company failed at something doesn't mean that no one else will be able to do it successfully. If you do your research webvan failed because they grew faster than they could grow keep up and the business crashed, also if you remember the reason we learn history in school is so that we will not continue to make the same mistakes as our predecessors. So they have probably done the research to know a little about this specialty field. Just because the 1998 boom is over doesn't mean good businesses cannot succeed.
