Weeeeeeeeeeee!  Thanks a ton for setting that up, I really had a good time.  I even posted some pictures (don't tell my friends I posted pictures here while not updated my regular pictures since October!).

Sizes significantly reduced for your viewing pleasure (<50K in most cases, please don't post full res pictures as they get shrunk to 600 for viewing anyway and the load time would be amazing after we all post ours!).  More and larger pictures available at the gallery and tons more not uploaded:

If, for what ever reason, you want the full resolution image (2800+) Pm me.

View from the "new" parking garage

walking up to the main entrance

Just inside the main entrance

Just inside again

The level of the main arena you first walk in to

Shot from the 2nd level, the luxury box!

Curtain wall as seen from the top of the grand ramp

Arena floor form the first row of the 3rd tier

View of the Tulsa skyline from inside the BOk Center (sorry for the artifacts, too lazy to hand stitch tonight and there was glare)

Ok found the right thread lol. So reposting here.

It was great getting to meet a few of the people on here that I hadn't seen before. For some reason I thought Cannon Fodder was some stubborn old stogie and have been giving him quite a hard time on some threads. Little did I know he is just a "wet behind the ears" kid. From the looks of it, probably about oh... 12, give or take a year or two. Now I feel bad for being impatient and rude at times. The meeting after the tour had some interesting ideas come up. I hope we can follow up on a few of them, like the downtown restaurant guide and the lecture/speaker ideas.

Anywoo, here are a few pics that I took. At least the ones where DScott wasn't in the way.

I joined the flickr group, and minus the pics from today, which I have yet to upload, I've added 1,185 Tulsa photos.

Beat that, Artist [:D]

Here are a couple pics of the detailed model they had in their offices. I actually like the side view better than the "front" that we usually see.

The model REALLY shows how cool it is going to look.  For some reason no one ever emphasized the fact that the metal skin will look like metal bricks from a distance.  Kind of draws down the scale of the building while the curvature and offset angles seem to enlarge the scale as the glass curtain wall opens the whole thing up.

I thought the design was neat, by seeing that it's really a work of art.

I just want the model. Make the most rockin' train set in the city.

Renaissance

Thanks for the pictures, everyone. The place looks phenomenal--serious, a phenomenon. I had forgotten about the glass wall with the skyline views--how sweet is that? The whole thing really makes my heart jump into my throat a little bit. This place is really going to reflect so, so well on Tulsa.  Can't wait to attend an event there.

Yes, this is soooo not your everyday arena. It really is going to be a point of pride for the community. Even the whole state. Taking those extra steps to make something above average and beautiful, an iconic structure, is very worth it in my opinion.
