Does Hillary Clinton Want John McCain Elected President? (Brent Budowsky)

"Could it be that a preferable outcome would be that she engages in a campaign of total personal destruction of her Democratic opponent, in the hope of electing a Republican who would be a one-term president because of considerable age, allowing Hillary to run in 2012?"

http://pundits.thehill.com/2008/03/06/does-hillary-clinton-want-john-mccain-elected-president/

"Hillary Clinton seeks to destroy her opponent to save her nomination, and will only succeed in destroying the party and her own reputation."

"Clinton campaign taps into an unlikely treasure-trove. New York's Chinese immigrants shell out -- but it doesn't all add up."

Dems can't win without superdelegates By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON - "Hillary Rodham Clinton won't catch Barack Obama in the race for Democratic delegates chosen in primaries and caucuses, even if she wins every remaining contest."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080306/ap_on_el_pr/democrats_delegates;_ylt=AikDaUorz52H_gbYZh8i75Gs0NUE

"Though she still faces a virtually insurmountable disadvantage in the delegate chase, the New York senator managed to keep her campaign afloat with a "kitchen sink" attack strategy designed to raise doubts about Obama. It worked, but to what end?"

http://news.aol.com/elections/story/_a/obama-holds-edge-in-delegate-count/20080305122209990001

All of Senator Hillary Clinton's warmed over Rovian fear-mongering for nothing. Obama remains 100 delegates ahead of Her and hundreds of thousands of votes ahead in the popular vote, and she is unlikely to catch up without a massive campaign of dirty tricks, misinformation, superdelegate chicanery and sleazy attack ads.

Republicans are loving this....especially the left out right wingers.

Wow.  Man, FOTD, the level of hate you reserve for HRC is getting really creepy.

You're just being kind of unrelentingly pissy about her.  Really, she's just a pol, you know?  Like pretty much all the rest of 'em.  Her personal level of hypocrisy is just about par for the course.

You're such a weird bird.  A Democrat who's been utterly brainwashed by nutso rightwing Hilary Hysteria. I just don't get it.

I think it was Keith O the other night who suggested the Obama campaign come out with a counter to the Clinton 3 a.m. scare ad. In it, the phone rings at 3 a.m. and Hillary yells out "get the phone Bill".

It's not about Her (and she is the one being pissy).......It's about the party.
Not hate. Dread. You must be satisfied with Washington's way of doing business.....and all she has accomplished as a war supporting Senator.

No, I'm not satisfied with how Washington has done things, but I'm mystified as to why you've picked Hilary as the representative of "quintessential Washington" instead of, say, McCain?  He has just as many connections, inside deals, and potential hypocracies as Clinton does.  His history is just as knotty. And hey, he's a Republican.  If this is about the Party, maybe a little unity is better than squabbling about inside baseball.

Turns out it was the Clitons who went to Canada on Nafta. Why did they not tell us? Shenanigans.

McCain/Clinton.....who'd ever thought this was the team.

But, dude, that's NOT the team.  McCain is on the OTHER team.  Hilary is on YOUR team.

Because she is fighting below the belt does not make her a traitor. She is fighting the way politics is fought universally.  To win.  You can't fault her for that.

And I say that as a diehard Obama supporter.

USRufnex

sorry we vs us, you really need to see & hear these quotes from Hillary Clinton... it very certainly sounds like she'd prefer John McCain over Obama..... and there are others from today...

Methinks FOTD protesths too much.

On one topic, Hillary thinks the republican has more experience than her democratic opponent.  I agree with her, but still would vote for Obama on election day. So would she.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Hey, your not funny mispelling of Clinton is overboard.

Mixing it up is what primaries are about.  It lets us see if the candidate is up for the general election.  Better to find out now.

We need to remember chances are very good both candidates are going to end up on the same ticket.

Guess what, Clinton supporters need Obama supporters and vice versa.

A classic example of a Freudian Slip!
Obama does not need the Clitons.(sorry, but it's too funny).

RecycleMichael

A Freudian slip is thinking one thing and saying your mother.
Power is nothing till you use it.

FOTD

OK. Then it's a visual pun.

Does America need another personality disorder President?
http://satiricalpolitical.com/?p=1575

Former Senator Gary Hart: "Hillary Clinton has broken that rule, severely damaged the Democratic candidate who may well be the party's nominee, and, perhaps most ominously, revealed the unlimited lengths to which she will go to achieve power. She has essentially said that the Democratic Party deserves to lose unless it nominates her. For her now to claim that Senator Obama is not qualified to answer the crisis phone is the height of irony if not chutzpah, and calls into question whether her primary loyalty is to the Democratic Party and the nation or to her own ambition."
