Anybody being affected? I can feel the pines and junipers doing their thing.

Just wondering if the winter ice storm to end all winter ice storms may end up contributing to a larger level of stronger pollens despite fewer branches?

Got ahead of it by a few weeks with nasal steroid spray.

I was wondering why I'd been blowing my nose all day.

No steroids! Wash my nasal out twice a day. Upside down helps too. Makes me feel normal...[|)]

Nasal steroids.  Flonase is the best thing since sliced bread!!!!

And I think we all know how hard it is to get sliced bread up your nose.  You have to use a chopstick!

This time of year, I'm most allergic to cedar trees, so any south wind blows the junk from Texas.

If you're an allergy sufferer, I recommend signing up for the email alerts from the NAB (Nat'l Allergy Bureau).  You pick your city and they send you an email each day to give you the local report.  This way, when you're sneezing your head off, you can check your email and say: "Oh, it's just cedar and juniper...not the flu."

Also, if you spend the day outdoors and can't stop sneezing afterwards, you should try the very odd but old-fashioned practice known as "nasal irrigation" which is a fancy term for "shooting warm salt water up your nose until it comes out the other side."  Sounds bizarre, and it takes some getting used to (always reminds me of childhood swim lessons...) but it will flush out all the allergens from your sinuses, and gives you pretty much instant relief.  There are several products on the market that range from squirt bottles to what look like small watering cans.  Very odd, but it works.

The pecan trees get me. Dont think they have started yet though. Had a huge one in the back yard of my previous home. Now have one in the front yard of my present home. You would think I would check for that before I pick the house lol.
